Chocolate Brownies
Time Taken : 15-30 mins
Ingredients:
1/2 cup - margarine or butter
2 to 3 tbsp - cocoa
1 cup - powdered sugar
1/2 tsp - baking powder
2 - eggs
1/2 tsp - vanilla
1/3 cup - chopped nuts

3/4 cup - Maida
Method
- Place margarine or butter in a bowl and microwave on high for 1 � minutes. Add cocoa.
- Mix well and microwave for 30 seconds. Allow to cool. 2. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
- Beat the eggs with essence and combine with the cocoa mixture. Stir in the dry ingredients.
- Pour in a lightly greased 8� square dish. Shield the corners* with pieces of aluminum foil and microwave on high for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Remove the foil. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Cool and cut into pieces
- *When a cake is baked in square or oblong dish, corners absorb more microwaves than the other areas.
- So tiny triangular pieces of foil are placed over the cake mixture at the corners. This is called shielding.
