UPA allies endorse Telangana, now all eyes on CWC meet
New Delhi: The crucial UPA meet on Tuesday to decide the Telangana statehood has ended and as per latest reports the allies have endorsed the formation of a new state. Confirming the same, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh told the media, "A unanimous decision has been taken on the formation of Telangana in the UPA coordination committee meet."
Now all eyes are on the Congress Working Committee meet on what call they will take. Earlier, Congress president Sonia Gandhi held talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today.
Tuesday evening will see UPA allies' and Congress Working Committee meets to take a final decision on the formation of Telangana state.
Sonia met Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, Finance Minister P Chidambaram, AICC general secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh Digvijay Singh, former in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad and Sonia’s political secretary Ahmad Patel after her meeting with the PM.
The deliberations comes at a time when the Congress high command appears inclined towards creation of Telangana.
This despite strong opposition from party leaders from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions to the formation of Telangana; they have warned the party of the problems that could follow the division.
In a last minute attempt to convince the party high command against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Union Minister MM Pallam Raju met Sonia Gandhi. Talking to reporters later, Raju said, “We have expressed our concern, requested party high command to take a responsible decision.”
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is also in Delhi. He is likely to meet party president Sonia Gandhi.
The Congress had refuted reports that Reddy and other Seemandhra ministers have issued veiled threats to step down from their posts if the state is bifurcated. During his meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other leaders, last week, Reddy is learnt to have told them that “creating Telangana is a suicidal step and that it would be difficult for me to preside over any move to bifurcate the state. I will not be a party to any destructive decision”.
The pro-Telangana faction in the Congress has also upped its ante against any last minute change in the plan.
Senior pro-Telangana leader Hanumantha Rao said, “This isn't a political decision, it’s a decision for the people. People are sacrificing their lives for formation of the state, for people this decision should be taken.”
Another party leader Ponnam Prabhakar said, “We are expecting that the dream will be fulfilled. Request everyone to please obey party decision.”
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha said, “100 percent positive that Telangana will be a reality.”
And there are fence sitters like Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy.”He said, “Whatever decisions come from CWC & party High Command we will abide by that.”

Crispy Chicken Nuggets
Time Taken : 15-30 mins
Ingredients:
1/3 cup - boneless chicken tenders
1 kg - all-purpose flour (maida)
1/4 tsp - baking soda
salt as required
1 tsp - vinegar (sirka)
1/3 cup - water
cooking oil, to fry
Method
- Cut chicken into medium size pieces, about 1&1/2 inch.
- Mix flour with salt in a small bowl.
- Mix vinegar with baking soda and add this mixture and water to the flour mixture and beat until the batter is smooth.
- Dip chicken pieces into batter; allow excess batter to drip off into the bowl.
- Heat oil in deep pan and fry chicken nuggets until golden brown.
- Fry on the both sides.
- Delicious Chicken Nuggets is ready to eat as starters or Crispy Chicken Nuggets can be served as side dish.

Chocolate Brownies
Time Taken : 15-30 mins
Ingredients:
1/2 cup - margarine or butter
2 to 3 tbsp - cocoa
1 cup - powdered sugar
1/2 tsp - baking powder
2 - eggs
1/2 tsp - vanilla
1/3 cup - chopped nuts
1/2 cup - margarine or butter
2 to 3 tbsp - cocoa
1 cup - powdered sugar
1/2 tsp - baking powder
2 - eggs
1/2 tsp - vanilla
1/3 cup - chopped nuts
3/4 cup - Maida
Method
- Place margarine or butter in a bowl and microwave on high for 1 � minutes. Add cocoa.
- Mix well and microwave for 30 seconds. Allow to cool. 2. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
- Beat the eggs with essence and combine with the cocoa mixture. Stir in the dry ingredients.
- Pour in a lightly greased 8� square dish. Shield the corners* with pieces of aluminum foil and microwave on high for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Remove the foil. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Cool and cut into pieces
- *When a cake is baked in square or oblong dish, corners absorb more microwaves than the other areas.
- So tiny triangular pieces of foil are placed over the cake mixture at the corners. This is called shielding.

Apple s share of tablet market nears all time high.
According to the latest numbers from market research firm iSuppli, Apple’s (AAPL) share of the worldwide tablet market has nearly returned to its all-time high from the first quarter of 2011. In the second quarter of 2012, the Cupertino-based company shipped a combined total of 17 million new Retina display-equipped iPads and iPad 2 tablets combined, an increase of 44.1% from 11.8 million in the first quarter and enough to capture 69.6% of the global tablet market.
“This marks a five-quarter high for Apple’s media tablet market share,” iSuppli said. “The last time Apple accounted for such a large portion of the media tablet was the first quarter of 2011, when it had a 70.0 percent share.”
The company’s closest competitor was Samsung (005930), which lost market share last quarter despite an increase in channel sales. The South Korean manufacturer shipped 2.25 million tablets last quarter compared to 2.19 million in the first quarter, but its second-quarter market share fell to 9.2% from 10.8% in the previous quarter.
The research firm also notes that while Apple’s competitors are having a difficult time matching the iPad’s success, they have left the door open for the two newest entries into the market — the Nexus 7 and Microsoft’s (MSFT) Surface tablet.
